Take the Car and Check Out These Top Three Thai Restaurants Near Picayune, MS
When you are looking for something interesting and delicious to enjoy for a special occasion, visit one of these Thai restaurants that are within driving distance of us here in Picayune, MS. We don’t have a lot of Thai places right in the middle of town, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have access to the best that this cuisine has to offer.
Ninja Express
Keep it local with a visit to Ninja Express. This beloved spot is located at 402 West Canal St. and is open from 11 AM until 8 PM Monday through Friday and until 6 PM on Saturdays. Be aware that they are closed on Sundays. As you might notice from the name, this place isn’t just about the Thai food, but they have some very solid offerings in that cuisine.
When you pay them a visit, we suggest the seaweed salad as an appetizer. You’re going to want to try any of their pad Thai, and we particularly enjoy the beef pad Thai here. They’ve also got very nice stir-fried rice noodle dishes, and the chicken is an outstanding choice there.
Thai Orchid
If you are up for a little trip in your comfortable Nissan Altima, stretch its legs and head to 785 Robert Blvd. in Slidell. Thai Orchid is open for lunch from 11 AM until 3 PM Monday through Friday and for dinner from 5 to 9 PM. On Saturday, their hours are the same, except that lunch does not start until noon. They are closed on Sundays.
Try their mango sticky rice with coconut cream, any of the pad Thai, and the delicious yellow curry that comes with your choice of meat, potatoes, pineapple, onion, and carrot. One of our favorite entrées is the Thai basil, which comes with your choice of protein stir-fried up with bell peppers, green beans, onions, and, of course, basil.
THAiLiCiOUS
This is another great spot in Slidell, at 2165 Gause Blvd. They are open from 11 AM to 2 PM for lunch Tuesdays through Fridays. Dinner hours are 5 to 8 PM. On Saturday, they’re open from 3 to 8 PM. They are closed on Sunday and Monday.
We highly recommend the chicken rad naa mee grob, which is crispy egg noodles with mushrooms, green onions, baby, corn, carrots, and bamboo, all covered with the restaurant’s own special sauce. Be sure to try the yum nua salad, which is spicy, full of cilantro, and comes with delicious sirloin steak on stop.
